She used to be a low class wizard, but was captured by a (futuristic) nation which used her magic powers as the ultimate weapon by intensifying it with electricity. She got overloaded with energy and managed to escape by melting her prison chains. In her rage she annihilated the whole city and created a hate towards the world for not saving her.
