I can't really believe that this turned into a full piece. I had started by drawing a single Indian paintbrush and pretty soon I had a group of them. Then, I had a mountain, then I had to connect the two. I've never seen this sight by the way. This image was cobbled together from photos I took in Oregon. As with most of my landscapes, I had to incorporate Mount Rainier somehow. Indian Paintbrush does grow around the mountain, but I haven't been able to photograph any of it.
