Pillar of Instinct
The pillar of instinct is one of 3 phylacteries for the old god, History. Each pillar is embedded with a fragment of History's conceptual power, and as thus keep him from death unless all the phylacteries, (the pillars) are broken. The Pillar of Instinct in particular is an extremely large crab-like cosmic entity. Since each pillar has their own means of protecting themselves for the sake of History, the Pillar of Instinct is an extremely formidable force. It can consume stars and planets to continually feed its growth, at its largest being 300 billion kilometres in length from the tip of it's incredibly long shell, to the tip of it's face. The Pillar of Instinct can eject star matter behind itself as a means of transporting itself across the universe at a rate of 5 trillion kilometres per second at top speed, easily able to traverse the galaxy as it pleases. With a shell made of thousands of metal composite layers, it is near impossible to penetrate it's long carapace without the help of reality-warping technology and an absurdly high amount of energy. The ravenous creature forever elongates it's shell the more metallic material it eats, forming a pillar-like shell that expands into the black of space. Should earth ever reflect the light of its eye, it'd be doomed to a cruel fate, that's for sure. Luckily a hero from beyond has taken the responsibility upon himself to keep the beast at bay.
